Classics : The Avalanches - Since I Left You
The Avalanches are a group from Melbourne, Australia. This was a single off their debut album of the same name. On putting the album together members Darren Seltmann and Robbie Chater spent countless hours sampling the chords from many records. Chater estimates the numbers of samples on the album to be over 3,500. After sampling and arranging, the pair would swap their tapes, listen to each other's ideas and expand on whatever struck their ear. Also this music video won Best Video at the 2001 MTV Europe Music Awards.

"Yoü And I" is produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange, one of the most sucessful producers in rock history. He has worked with such artists as AC/DC, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Bryan Adams, The Corrs and most recently Maroon 5. He produced Shania Twain's "Come On Over" which is the best selling album by any female artist of all time! And it's one of my personal favourite albums ever. The backing vocals remind me of Shania and few good oldies of hers.

His third studio album "Les Is More" is expected to be released on July 4 and Mr. Leslie took a new approach to this album, parting ways with former label Universal Motown in mid 2010 becoming indepedent and started rapping steering away from his R&B crooner ways.

I'm not a fan of the song, but i couldn't look past the visuals in this clip. And i vaguely thought this looks familiar, then it hit me this looks like something CANADA would do. CANADA is a trio of filmakers Lope Serrano, Luis Cervero and Nicolás Méndez which are based in Barcelona, Spain. Some of their other work includes El Guincho's "Bombay", Two Door Cinema Club's "What You Know" and Scissor Sisters' "Invisible Light". I really like their work.

After having this on high rotation and i mean HIGH rotation! I've decided to share this gem. The Weeknd (whose real name is Abel Tesfaye) is a 20 year old singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada. After having a few tracks floating around the web, he self-released the mixtape "House Of Balloons" free on his website. After the first listen i was hooked. With endorsements from Drake via his Twitter, and now alot of interet buzz including Pitchfork and Rolling Stone, this is something you should pay attention to. It is believed that "If I Was Your Girlfriend" deals with the jealousy Prince felt at the close bond shared between then girlfriend Susannah Melvoin with Wendy Melvoin. Cee-Lo - Bodies
This is my favorite song of his latest album "The Lady Killer", now this video is very unique and dope but i just feel it doesn't suit the song right. If was the director my vision would have been different, i would have done something more intimate like Cee-Lo and the leading lady and a dim setting flashing back to scenes in the bedroom etc. But props to Mikael Colombu for his job well done. And if that is really Janelle Monáe's cleavage, guurrl why you be hiding that?
